Happy New Year!
JANUARY 2008 Event:
Due to the cold damp weather let's plan on meeting up at th Lexi Dog for the free (they accept $1 or so donations) small dog play group. Small dogs from 30lbs and under are from 12:00-1:30 pm (Rosko is 31 lbs...it's all muscle!). Here is the link: http://www.lexidog.c
om/playgroup.php.
Please send me your ideas for future meetups. Anyone interested in another Frenchie Art day in February? We could work on our valentines and sip French wine. Or we could have a beauty/spa day....okay so we could bath and groom them at a local shop to get them ready for their valentines. Any thoughts while it's so dreary out?
p.s. I did receive a receipt for our donations and they wrote all of the check numbers on the copy. Please let me know if you would like a copy for tax purposes. For those that donated cash this could work too. They bundled it all together but you could claim what you gave and offer the receipt for documentation.
DECEMBER 2007:
I am so happy to report that our group raised so far $400 for the no kill shelter, Family Dogs New Life http://www.familydog

px. Thank you to all and many thanks to Dave for, once again, donating his talents and time for this great cause.
PHOTOS SO FAR FROM DECEMBER BENEFIT......HERE IS DAVE'S NOTE
Hi all!
Thanks for coming out to help the dogs at Family Dogs on Sunday! I have a first cut of images up at:

lDogClub07
I'll probably be adding a few more images later in the week. But I wanted to make sure to get a first cut of images up since I know some of you have Christmas card deadlines coming up. If you don't see an image you were expecting/hoping for let me know and I'll also let everyone know once I'm done adding images to the web for this. You're more than welcome to send the link on the anyone you'd like and feel free to print the images on the web. And let me know if you'd like a larger version of any images and I'll email you them - they'll be 1MB or larger so be ready for largish files :)
Also let me know if you'd be interested in doing a private shoot sometime. These Christmas shoots are a lot of fun. But obviously they are very quick and staged. My normal shoots fit closer to a documentary style. In those shoots I take my time and let everyone get comfortable so they look and act themselves. Where possible I like to go to a few locations that the "model" is especially fond of- parks, by the water, at home, where-ever they have fun. I do sometimes use some very portable lights and some other gear to help add some punch to the images while allowing me to stay very flexible and "in the moment". But my main goal is to get you images that show off your friends personality and with luck even some of their fun quirks. I've got more information on my website (www.DavidChildsPhot
ography.com) which talks about my typical approach. But please email me or call to talk if you have questions, ideas or a different approach that would work best in your situation. I'm offering your group 20% off as thanks for your support of Family Dogs.
Thanks again and hope you enjoy the images!
