The French Bulldog Club of America is hosting the National French Bulldog Specialties at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough. On Thursday October 15th there will be a Parade of Rescues at lunch time featuring adopted rescue dogs!

There will be ribbons and a special gift for all participants. They welcome anyone who has adopted a French Bulldog from a shelter, Humane Society, FBRL, FBCR, FBV or FBRN, as well as participants who have gotten their dogs as retirees from breeders or Frenchies who have been "rehomed."

You can find more info about the parade here http://www.frenchbulldogclub.org/ht/d/sp/i/9995/pid/9995 and about the National Specialty in general here http://www.frenchbulldogclub.org/ht/d/sp/i/8026/pid/8026 .

I was just informed of this great pet friendly event at out meetup on Saturday.

Liberty Hotel in Beacon hill hosts a 2 hour event for you and your dogs from 5-7. They offer the standard drink and food menus as well as free dog treats and playtime.

Come join us this Wednesday (may be the last time we get decent outdoor playtime in the evening) and socialize with people and their dogs.

I will be there at 5 o'clock in the Courtyard just outside of Scampo restaurant. Just ask for the entrance and meet us in the courtyard. I'll be there with Louie. Dress accordingly as we all know temps are dropping rapidly during the day. I'm not sure if this is off leash but I would assume so. Please bring doggie bags so we can be respectful of the hotel's hospitality.

Let's share a drink or nosh with the dogs! How fun is this? Obviously this is weather pending so cross your fingers! You don't have to arrive AT 5PM but it does end at 7PM.

Hope you can join us!

DoggieDay has created a summer-long event to help non-profits, to raise money in order to provide services to their communities. I am currently fundraising for my American Lung Association Bike Trek, which is a 160 mile ride from Plymouth to Provincetown on Oct 4th 2009. Doggie Day is assisting me in my fundraising efforts on Sunday, September 20th for the "Sunday Sudz".

Sunday Sudz is a self-bathing program for pet-owners to bring their dirty pets to the Spa @ DoggieDay and give them a bath, FREE OF CHARGE, every Sunday beginning Sunday, July 12th and continuing through Sunday, September 20th and beyond every other Sunday from 10am until 3pm. DoggieDay has dedicated Sept. 20th to the ALA so I'm hoping you can make it. No need for reservations-just show up between 10 until 3PM.

DoggieDay will provide all the shampoo, brushes, towels, shammies, dryers, etc. Participants are encouraged to make a donation to the non-profit for that day-I am asking a $10 donation or anything you can afford (I know money is tight these days). Anyone making a donation of $10 or more will be entered into a daily drawing to win a photo-session with Dana Berenson of LaMuse Photography (valued at $250) Dana has been kind enough to donate a sitting for each week; a total of 9 weeks.

100% of the donations raised that day go directly to the American Lung Association. I will have details on the foundation and the ride as well as door prizes and a raffle.

Please join me in this effort while giving your dog a spa treatment.

If you can't make the event and care to donate or want to join our team (it's not as difficult as it sounds-many people last year had only done 10 miles at any given time on a bike), the Boston Angels, please visit my online donation site: http://www.mrsnv.com/evt/e01/part.jsp?id=2210&acct=8013393647&rid=0
THANKS and hope you can make it! Louie and I will be there to welcome you and your dog(s)!

Sorry-this meetup is auto generated. Since it's Easter we will meet on Saturday instead.

So you don't get spammed any further-the meetup on this Saturday, March 28th will be at Peter's Park instead of Doggie Day-please take note as it will only change on the meetup site.

Come join for our first Sunday outdoor meetup of the season! Just a reminder that we will have a Sunday meetup on the second weekend of the month, and a Saturday meetup on the fourth weekend of the month. More fun for the dogs! Please be aware that these rarely last 2 hours with the dogs so heated up! If for some unknown reason it's below freezing or raining then we will move to Doggie Day on Tremont Street-I'll update accordingly the day before based on weather predictions.

~Terri & Simon & Louie

Cancellation procedure: Unless there is a snowstorm we are on! I'll email around 8AM if the weather we cancel. Please use your discretion driving in foul weather.

Please note: Meetup.com charges each group a month meetup fee. This is a GROUP fee and if not paid, our Boston French Bulldog meetups, would not exist.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Join us for our Saturday Frenchie meetup at Peter's Park. As we get into the Summer month's we may opt to meet earlier in the morning or in the evening on a weeknight due to heat and vacations.

Otherwise we'll see you there unless it's raining! If you are new to the group-our meetup events rarely last more than 2 hours...especially if the weather is extremely warm. Please be aware, you don't need to be there promptly just aware if you arrive later.
